WIUT Strengthens Its Global Standing in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings

Westminster International University in Tashkent has been ranked #401–600 globally in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, reflecting the University's growing contribution to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.

WIUT achieved #101–200 globally for SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), #301–400 for SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and #401–600 for both SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

From the pioneering SDG Course and the integration of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) principles across all programmes, to green campus initiatives such as solar panels, water-filling stations and energy-efficient technologies, sustainability is becoming an integral part of the WIUT experience.

As Uzbekistan's first member of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, WIUT also leads a range of impactful initiatives, including the Tashkent International Model UN Conference, the University of Westminster × WIUT SDG Summer School, and numerous research and community projects.

These results highlight WIUT's continued commitment to embedding sustainability across education, research, campus operations and community engagement.
