LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT
Teaching is delivered through mentoring, coaching, and facilitation, supported by blended learning activities that combine face-to-face and online engagement. Students participate in collaborative learning, peer discussions, and observation opportunities, allowing them to critically evaluate their practice and develop new perspectives within a supportive academic environment.
Learning is delivered through a balanced combination of scheduled contact sessions, work-integrated learning, and independent study. Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is a distinctive element of the course, enabling students to connect academic knowledge with real-world teaching practice through activities such as peer observations, micro-teaching, co-teaching, and classroom inquiry projects. Alongside guided sessions, students undertake independent study, including reading, research, and assignment preparation. Interactive workshops, case studies, and group projects further enhance learning, while the University’s online learning platform provides access to teaching materials, assessment guidance, and collaborative tools.
Assessment tasks may include practical exercises, research reports, case studies, group projects, and individual assignments, all designed not only to evaluate knowledge but also to strengthen academic writing, research, collaboration, and other transferable skills that support lifelong learning and professional development.
