On 5 October 2026, Westminster International University in Tashkent hosted a creative meeting as part of the “Ma’rifat Ulashib” project, bringing together renowned Uzbek writers and poets Chorsham Ro‘ziyev, Muhiddin Omon and Nuriddin Aminjonov.
The meeting provided students with an opportunity to engage directly with prominent figures in Uzbek literature and learn more about their creative journeys, works and experiences. The guests shared insights into their entry into literature, the stories behind their works and the role of literature in shaping an individual’s worldview and spiritual development.
A key focus of the discussion was the importance of reading and developing a strong reading culture among young people. The writers encouraged students to read regularly, choose meaningful literary and educational works, analyse what they read and draw valuable lessons from literature.
The meeting highlighted the importance of literary and educational initiatives in broadening students’ perspectives, strengthening their interest in literature, developing creative thinking and enriching their intellectual and cultural lives.
