On Thursday, 9 April, WIUT hosted a truly unique guest conversation to mark the 690th anniversary of the birth of our great ancestor, statesman, and military leader Amir Temur.
For the first time, students and colleagues had the opportunity to meet representatives of a Special Operations Unit of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and hear first-hand about the realities of elite service. The meeting offered insightful perspectives on rigorous training, high-risk missions, resilience, courage, and the exceptional discipline required to serve in such units.
The event stood as a tribute not only to the legacy of Amir Temur, but also to the modern-day defenders and true patriots who continue to uphold the strength and spirit of the nation.
