ECONOMICS CLUSTER

Development Economics

This research cluster focuses on the analysis of developing (low- and middle-income) countries, from both microeconomic and macroeconomic perspectives. Members of the cluster examine a wide range of interconnected themes, including international trade and economic integration, political economy, financial and green economics, income inequality, intergenerational mobility, and social progress. By combining macroeconomic perspectives on international markets and economic development with microeconomic analyses of gender empowerment and distributional outcomes, the cluster aims to produce policy-relevant research that contributes to a deeper understanding of the development challenges faced by low- and middle-income countries.
