LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT
Learning is interactive and practice-oriented. Lectures provide strong theoretical foundations, while seminars and workshops challenge you to apply concepts to realistic scenarios. You will work on case studies, problem-based tasks, group projects, and research assignments that simulate the kinds of decisions HR leaders face every day.
A significant part of your journey is the HRM and Talent Development Project, where you will independently investigate a topic of your choice. This is your opportunity to demonstrate originality, strategic thinking, and professional-level analysis.
Assessment is designed to help you track your learning, reflect on your progress, and develop both academic and professional skills. Tasks include individual and group work, case studies, reports, presentations, projects, and exams, all linked to your learning outcomes. Each module comes with clear assessment requirements, ensuring you know what is expected and how to succeed while building transferable skills for your career.
COURSE STRUCTURE
To be awarded the MA degree, students must complete 180 credits

The Month of HR at WIUT is an annual signature academic and professional initiative dedicated to exploring the evolving world of human resource management and talent development. For an entire month, the university becomes a vibrant platform where theory meets practice and students engage directly with the realities of modern people management.

Applicants should normally hold an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) from a recognised higher education institution with a minimum of a second lower class honours (2:2 or equivalent) in any subject area. Applicants without a formal higher education qualification or a formal qualification that is not at an equivalent academic standard, may be considered if the following conditions apply:
They are or have been in employment where their role is in the area of the course and involves a high level of analysis and critical thinking. -
Applicants must have:
- Had their first or second degree (or equivalent) taught and assessed in English; or
- IELTS with an overall score of at least 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in writing or another English Language Test recognised by the University of Westminster; or
- The required pass level on the Preparatory Language Course for PG studies: Preparatory Language Course for Master's degree
We accept the TOEFL (IBT (In person test) for entry to our programmes. We also accept TOEFL ‘My Best Scores’ where it relates to TOEFL iBT test results.
- TOEFL score should be 88 overall with a minimum of 21 in Writing
Please note that the TOEFL Home Edition (Online test) is not accepted for entry to WIUT degree programmes.

COURSE LEADER
Jobir Mallabaev works as a Director of Administration at WIUT. He has more than 20 years of industry experience as a human resource practitioner within diverse industries like oil & gas, production, information technologies, and education.
Jobir Mallabaev earned his MSc in Human Resource Management from Texas A&M University, United States. He has been in the course team of the MA in HRM&TD since the launch of the programme at WIUT. Since 2002, he has been teaching Human Resource Management, Reward Management, Employee Relations, and Operations Management for undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has obtained International Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from NEBOSH.
